This is such a well written and thought out book. the world building is spectacular and totally fascinating. full of action adventure and romance the author takes the reader on a rip roaring ride. There's never a dull moment. featuring characters from the previous two books as well. Jason is the third king who has found his queen albeit a reluctant one. But there are dark forces at work that are determined to destroy the kings and more importantly their queens. Jason has not always been on the side of right, some still do not fully trust him. His power and magic are immense. Chloe is no ordinary akyri either. We also find out more of the dark forces who are working against the thirteen kings. My only complaint is that we have to wait for the next book.
What a quick, fun read. I'll certainly go back and enjoy this again. Great character development for such a short book, and the sweet ending was perfect. Just what a girl needs. Loved it!

BalasHapusPolished and well-written. In the wake of 50 Shades of Grey, I expected a flood of sub-par rip-offs and found this instead. It was longer than I thought it would be and isn't the standard set-up and right to the sex format I expected--which is a good thing. I don't mind that, but I got more this time. There's a story in there along with the steamy sex scenes. Gretchen's growing obsession with the aloof Mr. Gordon had me cringing for her. And the way she chooses to make that obsession known...I didn't see that coming.

Vary erotic. Ya that sums it up. I only have two complaints one the print seemed to be ridiculously large, two it ended lol I want more.

BalasHapusJust kidding of course. The truth is that this was an absolutely smoking hot read. Virginia Wade did an amazing job creating and developing two fascinating main characters, and a large supporting cast of other interesting characters. The back-and-forth tension and conflict was expertly handled and kept me furiously turning the pages. This is, in short, just a masterfully told story that I enjoyed immensely!
As usual, Virginia Wade brought a great offering to the table that I highly recommend.
