I loved this book for so many reasons, the top ones being how the author showed what romance really means. I've always thought romance was over-hyped in our culture, and I've kind of scoffed at it. What this book shows is what romance looks like in a marriage, in practice. The other main reason I give this book 5 stars is for its craft. There is this wonderful juxtaposition of the author's news style of writing (she was a reporter for many years) that, combined with such highly dramatic life events, keep the book from becoming overly sentimental. This is a love story that has staying power; lines and scenes will stay with me for years to come. I also work in cancer care marketing, so many of the insights in this story will be folded into my daily work. A highly recommended read.

I bought the watch for nursing school. I love the size - not too big, but large enough that I can read it easily. The colors of the numbers stand out, and it has military time which I will be required to use so that's a big help. The indigo light is a plus. I was worried about the white band getting dirty for everyday use, so I went to my local Target and bought a black band for it also. They had other band colors so I can change it up later. The watch was available in the store but I got it cheaper on Amazon.
BalasHapusI bought this watch because it looked as though it would be easy to read. The face is just a bit bigger than I am used to but I am glad it is so easy to see. The numbers being different colors makes it a little more interesting than just your basic watch. My only complaint for me is than the white band does not stay white, and I already had to wash it once, at least that is an option. But when it is time to change the band I will not pick white so it is an easy fix. But overall I really like it and enjoy having the indigo on it as well.
BalasHapusI like clear, easy to read watch faces and Timex excels at this. The strap has plenty of holes - I have a narrow wrist. I wish I could find an assortment of bands, but for some reason, have not been able to. I am very pleased with it.

Love, love this watch. Fortunately, I had several slip in bands so I can change to match outfit/mood. The face is large and clear. I have an extremely small wrist and this watch stays in place and looks good on my slim arm.
