Take This Regret A Jackson

From the very first pages, I was hooked. I am not the romantic type, but Roberta Gately has the gift of bringing the characters to life in way that everyone can relate to. Her artistic way of describing the experiences of the characters makes it seem very real. I could identify with Abby, who ran following a series of bad events. (Who hasn't experienced at least one bad break up that triggers the urge to take off or cut your hair.)And who hasn't met a guy like Nick, arrogant and charming all at the same time. Reading The Bracelet made me experience emotions of sadness, fear, sorrow, helplessness and anger. I think all readers will be outraged when they read about the horrors that young girls around the world endure and will want to help save someone like Mariyah. Best book I have read in a very long time.

  1. It is to be regretted that the rich and powerful too often bend the acts of government to their selfish purposes.

  2. In Harry Potter the magical characters are found and taken to Hogwarts. In the Percy Jackson series the magical characters are found and taken to Camp Half-Blood. What are some more books with this element?

  3. I need a wide reciever and a flex. I have Jones, Jackson, and Forte. Julio Jones has a touchdown less and100 yards less than Vincent Jackson. They're both playing favorable matchups, Jones against the Panthers and Jackson against the Eagles. I'd like to not sit either of them but i have to play Cruz against the Saints. So, I should put one of them in at flex, but I got Forte riding flex this week. Watcha got for me?

  4. It is from my understanding that Andrew Jackson was against the National bank and he assisted in completely destroying the system at that time. He was also skeptical about the use of paper money and how it would corrupt those who use it. The other issue is that Jackson treated Native Americans with such brutality. Now I don't dislike him as a president, but I am wondering, why he is on the bill if he had such a horrible stance against Native Americans and was against the National banking system? What gave him the prestige to be considered for the 20 dollar bill?

  5. I know that Joe Jackson forced them into show business b/c he wanted to get the family out of poverty but I wonder if him, Katherine, or any of the children ever wonder if it was worth it. Sure they were poor but, from what I've heard, they were a close knit, happy family. It seems like everything got messed up once they became famous.

  6. I remember Phil Jackson saying that he called grant hill but he never called back and that grant hill wanted to go to a championship contender team. Right now the Lakers are owning it up.
