The Depot ebook
From the very first scene, this story pulled me in. A brutally attacked girl enters into a train station seeking help and sees a blur of time passing before her eyes in a surreal way. I loved it. So much better than saying, "And then she became a ghost...."
I'll admit that paranormal isn't my most favorite genre because so often it is sensational and gory, but DeSousa handles everything so tastefully--from the "ugly" bits to the romantic moments. Nothing caused me to flinch at what was on the page, and yet it had my heart pounding enough that I became jumpy while reading and actually screamed aloud when my son's unexpected appearance startled me. That's good writing!
In addition to building the right level of suspense, DeSousa builds good characters. We flip perspectives between two leads, and both feel authentic. We witness their perceptions of truth change, and we empathize with their needs.
Another thing I like about DeSousa's writing is that she chooses last lines well. Scenes often end with a little twist that makes you go, "Oh! That changes things!" It definitely makes you want to keep going.
I've read THE PITSTOP by DeSousa also, which I also enjoyed, but this piece is absolutely stellar!
I know a patent can cost anywhere from 5k-10k, but how much is a patent review?
BalasHapusI'd just like to know. As always, thank you for any and all answers.
BalasHapusI'm applying for a provisional patent and was wondering if I need to consult with an attorney first to obtain a docket # as the application asks for one although it's not mandatory?
BalasHapusI bought this on ebay. It showed me how to get 10% off on Home Depot and Lowes products. It is updated frequently with link to 64 sites. Tell me if it is worth the trouble, please.
BalasHapusMy husband has terrible credit. We have just finished paying off his past debts and are soon going to be applying for a credit card for people with bad or no credit. We will just put a little on each month and pay it off in full at the end of each month. Any other ideas? I would really like to up his credit score because we are buying another house in a couple years and my income is no longer enough to be approved for a home loan on my own. Thanks!
BalasHapusI have already drawn, designed, and built it by hand. However, I don't have the ability to mass produce it. I am working on the patent process currently to protect the idea, but still want to get the ball rolling with production. It requires wood and screws.
BalasHapusCan someone please provide me with a website or some information on how artists patent and/or copyright their work? Much appreciated!
BalasHapusI've just been given a quote and God knows I cannot afford that right now. What are my options?
