Tough Love
I had written a review about this earlier today, but I don't know what happened to it. So I will just start over again. If the other suddenly magically reappears, oh well! LOL N-nee-wayz, while reading this book, I pictured myself as Tara, Donnie Wahlberg as her husband Steve, and Joey McIntyre as Aidan. The things that Tara did on her journey to get to Aidan I thought was EXTREMELY crazy! 'Cause I wouldn't even do that, but yet was still able to pretend like I was her. It's always fun to pretend to be the main character no matter what.
I don't really wanna reveal too much. But I will say, the ending was just AWESOME! It reminded me of an R.L. Stine book I read my senior year in high school. And I couldn't help but laugh at some of the parts in the ending. So, if you're into suspense, you may just like the ending. I did very much. I'd recommend this book to anyone!
I havent watched the last two episodes of tough love and on vh1.com it doesnt have them to watch. Is there anywhere i could find them or what is the name of the episodes?
BalasHapusWhat do you consider tough love and what's abuse? Is tough love swearing at a child, calling a child derogatory names, hitting a child, physically restraining a child?
BalasHapusI am an adult that has a very good relationship with my mom, but on occasion she'll let me have it. Maybe I deserve some "tough love" bfrom my mom, but it's really hard then to think again of her as a friend. (Now, I know when they talk about not being friends with your kids, they don't mean adult kids.) If mom would be more gentle with her words, she probably wouldn't think I'd take her seriously. But, it's times like this that are so sad, but I wonder if I'd be better off not being friends with her. I do not talk to my adult daughter like that, and I don't think I ever will. My mother knows it hurts me when she does this, but once again, I think she thinks I will take what she is saying more seriously. Her and my kids are my only friends; that is fine (I think). But, I wonder, do friends talk to friends that way?
BalasHapusYou know the commercials where people will be in the middle of the city and they'll be talking about all the bad things the tobacco companies do and then they'll defend it and start singing but then at the end they'll say that doesn't make sense? you know the one where they go... "tough love's the best love of all the love there is, that's what we get from the big tobacco biz..."? well we watched it in health and it's been bugging me not knowing the lyrics, know them?
