A gripping must read read

Train Babys Mother Sharon Bernash

Train Babys Mother Sharon Bernash

This is a gripping horrific story that tells about a family who was torn apart by the Nazi army. One woman's will to live and how she had to go to extreme measures to try and save her baby while she and the rest of her family was doomed for death. What miricals can happen when hope is gone! This book is a MUST READ! I could not put it down till I was finished and I think about it all the time. Even though the book is heart aching it will leave you feeling like you just had a big breath of fresh air after years of breathing dust. This book is recommended for anyone (but small kids)who are interested in reading a unconditional love story, a horrific Holocaust story, a feel good story, a story of determination, a story about family and friends, and a story of Gods will in our lives and the miricals that can happen to everyone!

  1. On December 24, 1943 two children were playing in the snow on a family farm, 30 miles north of Berlin and south of Ravensbruck, a Nazi prison camp for women. They heard a strange noise and trudged through the deep snow to investigate. They discovered a brown bundle lying next to the train tracks ---- a baby. The baby was immediately hidden with utmost discretion and it's final destination was a village in the Bavarian mountains with a family who loved it unconditionally.

In the winter of 1943 thousands of German citizens were transported to concentration camps in cattle cars of trains, and it was happening under the cruel, demonic mind of Hitler. The extermination of every Jewish man, woman and child was carried out to the extreme that was never seen in the history of man. Lives of Jewish families were never the same thereafter because of the diabolical mind and heinous acts of this man.

Ravensbruck, surrounded by barbed wire, was located 50 miles north of Berlin and buildings were filled beyond capacity with women of all ages who were being starved with protruding bones and shaved heads. If the women were not starved to death they were gassed or shot and thrown into pits, sloshed with gasoline and set on fire.

This is the story of Hadassah Jensen, a Jewish woman, who fought to survive Ravensbruck and the Holocaust --- a story of a woman whose innocence was shattered by unspeakable acts of horror.

This is one of the most achingly sad books I've ever read on the Holocaust - heart wrenching. The ending is filled with extraordinary poignancy and will have a strong impact on you - a story you'll not soon forget. I highly recommend - just a remarkable read!

  3. This is an amazing book. I have put it up on my facebook page and my twitter site. Every Christian school library and homeschoolers should have it as required reading. The precious mother who surrenders her daughter with the prayer she will live and not die, the wondrous God who watches over them both, the love of a man whose love brings this tormented woman back to life, will touch your heart ans haunt your thoughts for days. I could not put it down!

  4. Excellent story from beginning to end. The story of a Mother's sacrifice of giving up her baby, surviving the Holocaust and moving on with her life was heart heavy. But there is always Hope. I enjoyed ready how people's paths crossed and how they came together in hard times to make a difference.
